Another Holiday Gone

But that’s not to say I didn’t enjoy some good food.

I ate a hamburger, baked beans, ice cream. And on top of all of that, we bought some of this at the store the following day:

This nice little treat is worth 2 Points and I enjoyed it throughly. Perhaps not as tasty or satisfying as the South Beach pudding I reviewed not so long ago, but the coldness felt good on my throat which has been sore since Friday night.

As a result of my “illness” I’ve been keeping a low profile around here because, quite simply, I’ve been exhausted. That means no Wii Fit, no walking, etc. That also means that I haven’t had much of an appetite, too. But that doesn’t mean I’m going to call the upcoming weigh-in a fluke because I’m not.

No, not even. I’m taking it for what it is and moving on. Note, however, that the Orange County Fair begins on Friday. And let me tell you, folks, all bets are off when the Fair is in town! It really is hard to resist all those goodies but I think I’ll be okay.

In addition to trying my best to avoid such foodie goodness, it will be the first time since my hernia repair surgery that I will have walked the fairgrounds, and I think it will be good. Before, I had to pause what seemed like every 20 minutes to sit down and, well, pop things back into place. I was also a little heavier then, too. So hopefully everything will work out fine.

I may not have anything tomorrow but I’m looking forward to Weigh-In #16. And in case you’re wondering, here’s the latest Wii Fit progress photo:

Although I’m still ranked in the Obese category, it shows a steady drop of at least 16 lbs. Looks alright if you ask me.

  1. Wow! That’s fabulous! Thanks for sharing your successes. It rejuvenates me to “rub shoulders” with others who are doing well.

    I don’t know, but you might try planning some “goodie” space into your diet so you can have a little guilt-free goodie time. 🙂 Works for me, at least.

  2. Hey, thanks! And congrats on your success as well. It’s always reassuring to know that there are others out there sharing in the struggles and triumphs of weight loss.

    Being that I follow the Weight Watchers Points program, I generally do know how many Points I have in reserve and what I can “spend” them on. By the end of the week I have enough in my bank to enjoy something tasty–or even fattening 🙂
