I’ve got a problem.

I’ve had a serious case of the munchies lately. And it’s bad.

My stomach’s been grumbling with greater frequency and I’ve been eating all of the same foods, too. In fact, the weight seems to just be sitting there despite my best efforts to lose it. Those last 12+ lbs. are going to be taunting me until I lose them. You know that, right? The are genuinely laughing at me as we speak.

Damn them. So here’s what I’m going to do about it.

I’m going to work harder to lose them. It doesn’t matter–I’m going to drop these last 12 lbs. like a bad habit, and I’m going to do it well before my target date of February 14, 2009.

And it’s going to be in a few months. Here’s why.

Since we are going to take a trip to Las Vegas in October, I know that we will be eating nothing but prepared meals which, for all intents and purposes, won’t be the healthiest of foods. Therefore, I’m going to step up the weight loss program a bit and make the following proclamation: I am going to lose my remaining 12.7 lbs. and be at 200 lbs. before we go on our Vegas trip in October.

That’s months ahead of schedule but I’m going to do it–just you watch me. The last thing I want to do is be somewhere near my goal then take this trip, gain weight, and have to lose it all over again. I’d rather get to my goal first and then shed the pounds when I get back. It’ll work.

Wii Fit…ah, where would I be without you? Probably not pulling out my hair in frustration, that’s where! It seems to me that although my weight according to my bathroom scale has been consistent, my Wii Fit weight has yo-yo’d up an down for the last week.

It’s pretty stupid and if that’s not enough to scare anybody away from relying on Wii Fit’s scale, then I don’t know what it is. It’s not like I ever did but if it’s used to gauge your weight loss progress in the game, it should be a little more accurate.

So don’t throw all of your confidence in Wii Fit’s scale capabilities because it’s just not smart to do so.

The weekend’s here. Make a good one, eat healthy stuff or bad stuff (in strict moderation) and see you here next week.

Only 12+ lbs. to go!
